i can find a local bus to take me to mount Fuji's 5th station where my climbing route will start. I wonder where is your starting point? Last year i landed in Kansai and departed from Haneda, but this year i will start from Haneda and depart from Kansai (actually the cheap flights i take land on these two airports in Japan so i have to plan my trip based on these airports) because Kawaguchiko is super closer to Tokyo, so once my plane reach Haneda airport, i'll take an express bus directly from Haneda airport to Kawaguchiko station. but i really hope you will take your time to enjoy the trip with your sister esp in Kawaguchiko. T_T I will leave Japan on the 1st of September, im sorry we unable to catch up with each other.
Feel free to ask other questions as it gives me something to do during transit. Another tip is that grocery stores, Don Quijote, Aeon, and Max Valu usually start marking down prices on food around 5-8pm. If you’re looking to conserve yen while you’re there, I have found that most hotels/hostels, grocery stores, and big shops like Don Quijote and Aeon accept most cards. In Japan, there’s a company called Exchangers that have given good rates but they only operate in Osaka, Tokyo, Sapporo, Hiroshima. If you want to exchange money, you may get better rates in your home country or airports. I try to use card whenever possible because I’m incurring about a 4% charge on the amount I withdraw from ATMs on top of a 200 yen fee so I recommend you call your bank and inquire about any fees. However, I believe most ATMs charge a 200 withdrawal fee for international cards and you may incur an additional charge from your bank. It’s pretty simple to withdraw money as there are ATMs in most convenience stores like 7-11, Lawson, Family Mart, etc. Thank you.Usually only bigger or international businesses accept cards so it’s always good to carry a decent amount of yen on you. Globe will be replacing the DUO product with this So I need to find a new way to call the Philippines with basically unlimited calling that isn't extrememy expensive (or take on another job). She talks to her mother every day on the phone. My wife has adjusted to living in the US (even after the 2'+ of snow we got here in WI last week) but I know she misses her family. My wife's family lives in an area with horrible internet service (and expensive even by US standards) so talking over the phone is the best option. Unfortunatly I got an email from Globe the other day saying they are discontinuing the service at the end of the month. This service allows unlimited calling for $10 a month (only from the US to the Philippines not the other way around). So I used the service to assign a US phone number to my wife's phone in the Philippines and since she came here a little over a year ago the number has been assigned to her mother's phone.
Essentially they take a Globe mobile cell phone in the Philippines of your choosing and and add a US based phone number to it. Since I met my wife a few years ago I used a service called Duo USA through Globe mobile. I am looking for a way to make calls to the Philippines that isn't too expensive.
